Vice President, Technology Applications: Angela Lawson
 
 

 Angela Lawson was named vice president, Technology Applications, in October 2023, a role she has acted in since June. She reports to the chief information officer and executive vice president.

In this role, Lawson is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of secure and innovative software solutions that drive business optimization, achieve organizational objectives and improve the customer experience. She is also responsible for modernizing essential platforms that support core business functions.

Before, she served as the senior director of Systems Integration where she led the development of logistics visibility programs and the strategy of the enterprise data management program.

Lawson began her Postal Service career in 2009 as a program manager of Intelligent Mail and Address Quality. She has held several positions with increasing responsibilities including manager of Address Quality Programs, manager of Address Technology, director of Advanced Analytics, and Alabama District manager.

Lawson is a graduate of the Advanced Leadership program, Executive Leadership program and the Senior Executive Assessment Program. She has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Christian Brothers University in Tennessee, and a master’s degree in business administration as a Sloan Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

With the recent storm this week, the Postal Service is asking customers to ensure snow and ice is cleared from sidewalks, stairs, porches, and the approach to mailboxes whether on a house or at the curb. Keeping a clear path to and around mailboxes will help mail carriers continue consistent delivery as well as keep them safe from potential slipping and/or injuries.
